Das Ressourcen Forum Austria wurde 2013 als österreichische Plattform für effiziente Ressourcennutzung und Nachhaltigkeit von Vertretern aus Industrie und Landwirtschaft gegründet. Der Verein ist seitdem um viele Mitglieder gewachsen und steht Organisationen wie Privatpersonen offen, die sich den Themen Ressourceneffizienz, Kreislaufwirtschaft und Nachhaltigkeit widmen wollen. Unsere Vision ist die Entwicklung einer (österreichischen) Gesellschaft, die Wohlstand erwirtschaftet, ohne dabei die Umwelt zu opfern. Eine Gesellschaft, deren Wirtschaft leistungs- und wettbewerbsfähig ist, um alle Bedürfnisse der Bürgerinnen und Bürger zu befriedigen und dafür die notwendigen Ressourcen so effizient einsetzt, dass die Umweltbelastungen deutlich unter den ökologischen Belastungsgrenzen liegen. Dabei verstehen wir Unternehmen als zentralen Teil unserer Gesellschaft und damit als integralen Gestalter von Lösungen für eine notwendige Ressourcenwende – einer Wende zu ressourcenschonendem und zukunftsfähigem Leben und Wirtschaften in Wohlstand.
