NCRM

ReStore is a dedicated repository of research methods websites, primarily funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) from 2007 to 2013. It aims to support researchers by providing a carefully curated collection of web resources focused on research methods, developed through initiatives like the Research Methods Programme and the National Centre for Research Methods (NCRM).

The resources included in ReStore underwent rigorous academic and technical reviews to ensure quality and relevance, with over 2 million views during its operational period. While the platform is no longer actively maintained, it continues to offer access to a selection of valuable materials that assist researchers in various fields.

Additionally, the ReStore project team created guidance for online resource developers, which is still applicable despite some content being outdated. Users are encouraged to explore the maintained resources on the newly established ReStore site, where they can find retained documents and key information related to the legacy content, ensuring ongoing support for research communities.
