About RESTORE FOUNDATION FOR CHILD SIGHT
Restore Foundation for Child Sight is a non-profit, non-governmental, and apolitical organization dedicated to addressing issues related to blindness and visual impairment in children. With over 30 years of experience in the medical field and 19 years specializing in surgical eye care, Dr.
Halimatu L. Alimi leads the foundation, focusing on pediatric ophthalmology. The foundation aims to raise awareness about the prevention of blindness and visual impairment in children and provide timely and high-quality care to restore their vision, alignment, and overall eye function.
Their services include advanced eye care surgeries for cataracts, treatment for squint, and optimization of vision impaired by refractive errors. In addition, they offer advocacy to influence decisions on blindness and visual impairment prevention and treatment policies, community education programs, and training for teachers and health workers on vision screening.
