RETINA® is a Basel-based jewellery brand creating individually designed, handcrafted pieces inspired by each customer’s unique retinal pattern. Founded in 2016 by Stefan and Marlen Wacha, the company brings together goldsmithing, scientific knowledge and personal storytelling. Under the direction of Dr. Stefan Wacha, a goldsmith and former neuroscientist, the brand transforms a scan of the retina into a distinctive design, making each piece personal to its wearer.

The collection includes wedding and partnership rings, engagement rings, other rings, watches, necklaces and pendants, earrings, bracelets and men’s jewellery. Customers can arrange a consultation online or at the Basel atelier; retinal scanning may also be organised through a local partner, with the design process handled by video call. RETINA® prepares a 3D rendering for approval before its goldsmiths craft the finished piece by hand, typically within a few weeks. Designs are made in gold or platinum and can be created for personal wear or as meaningful gifts. The brand focuses on individuality, craftsmanship and jewellery that symbolizes identity and connection.
