Landsforeningen Rett Syndrom is a Danish association for parents and others connected with Rett syndrome. Founded in January 1988, it works to increase awareness and understanding of the condition through informational materials, articles and courses. The association also provides opportunities for families to share experiences and learn from one another.
Its website offers resources about Rett syndrome, including information on diagnosis, the Rett Syndrome Center and the RTT gene. Members and visitors can access publications such as Rett-Nyt, which is issued four times a year, as well as books, guides and other educational materials. The association organizes events and courses, including parent and family weekends, giving families opportunities to meet and take part in shared activities.
Supporters can join through an annual support membership costing DKK 275, which includes a free subscription to Rett-Nyt. The association also welcomes individual donations to help provide Danish people affected by Rett syndrome and their families with positive experiences at its nationwide family weekend course.
