Reverie Safaris

Reverie Safaris is a boutique travel company based in Orange County, California, specializing exclusively in tailor-made luxury journeys across Africa. Founder Hans Arnesen plans each trip personally, drawing on firsthand safari experience and knowledge gained from designing travel to more than seventy countries. Rather than selling fixed packages, the company builds itineraries around each traveler’s dates, pace, interests and preferred wildlife encounters, working with a limited number of families and couples each year.

Journeys span East and Southern Africa, with destinations and combinations including Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana, Rwanda, Uganda, Namibia, South Africa, Zanzibar and Victoria Falls. Sample itineraries feature experiences such as game drives, gorilla and chimpanzee tracking, mokoro excursions, private villas and time in the Winelands. Reverie arranges camps and accommodations, internal flights, transfers, local guides and VIP arrival assistance. Gratuities are included in the quoted on-the-ground arrangements, while international flights are separate. A local partner provides support during the trip, with Hans involved from the initial inquiry through travelers’ return.
