Rheumaliga

The Austrian Rheumatism League (Österreichische Rheumaliga, ÖRL) is a nationwide, neutral self-help organisation for people living with rheumatic diseases and their relatives. It represents members’ shared interests in health policy and public life, while providing information, peer support and opportunities to connect with others affected by rheumatism.

The ÖRL offers resources on rheumatic conditions, everyday life, sport and movement, nutrition and therapies, alongside links to support services, research updates and a question-and-answer forum. Its Rheumabuddy app and information for young people with rheumatism extend its practical support. The organisation also hosts events and online webinars, including its Rheuma Kaffee series, and shares updates through its magazine, information folders, podcast, videos and newsletter.

Members can connect through regional groups across Austria and access membership information and benefits. The league also promotes awareness initiatives and public campaigns, and provides ways to donate and support its work through its Shop to help. Through these activities, the ÖRL helps people with rheumatic conditions find information, community and a voice in Austria.
