About RHGC
Royal Hobart Golf Club, located in Seven Mile Beach, Tasmania, is recognized as the premier members' club in the region. Established in 1916 and officially granted a Royal Charter in 1925, Royal Hobart offers a top-quality golfing experience for both members and visitors. The course, designed by Vern Morcom, incorporates over 80 fairway and greenside bunkers, adding an extra layer of challenge for players of all skill levels.
The club takes pride in maintaining the course in impeccable condition throughout the year, thanks to its natural sand base. In 1997, a long-term course improvement plan was put in place to ensure the ongoing excitement and satisfaction of golfers. Over the years, Royal Hobart has hosted prestigious championship events, including the Tasmanian Open, Australian Amateur, Australian Women's Amateur, and even the Qantas Australian Open, which was triumphantly won by the legendary Jack Nicklaus in 1971.
Whether you're looking for an exceptional golfing experience, planning a special event, or simply seeking a delightful dining experience, Royal Hobart Golf Club has it all. Contact them today to discover what makes them a golfer's paradise
