Rhiza Holdings is a portfolio of social-impact initiatives and enterprises working to advance sustainable development in South Africa and East Africa. Active across South Africa, Rwanda, Burundi, and Kenya, the organisation addresses socioeconomic challenges by combining philanthropy and entrepreneurship to expand opportunity and strengthen communities. Its work is organised around three pillars: education, healthcare, and livelihoods.

Through Rhiza Babuyile, the group supports early childhood development centres, operates mobile clinics that provide access to primary healthcare, and develops livelihood initiatives. These include entrepreneurship and environmentally sustainable projects in areas such as alternative energy, water and sanitation, and agriculture. Rhiza Ventures supports social enterprises in underserved communities, with a focus on enterprise supplier development, retail, organic food, healthcare, and education. It provides guidance, structures, and market access to help community-led businesses become viable over the long term and bring their products and services to wider markets.

Rhiza Holdings reports reaching more than 50,000 community members, operating 12 mobile clinics, and training over 3,000 young people annually.
