Welcome to Rushden Station and Goods Shed, a brand that encompasses the rich history of transport and railway heritage. As a part of Rushden Historical Transport Society, we offer a range of products and services that cater to both enthusiasts and the general public. Our Heritage Railway boasts a collection of diverse rolling stock, allowing visitors to experience the charm and nostalgia of a bygone era.
With over half a mile of track, there is always something new to discover. The Goods Shed, owned by the Society, provides a modern undercover space that has preserved its original features and heritage. This versatile venue is utilized for various events and activities throughout the year.
If you're in the mood for refreshments, head over to our beloved Station Bar. This historic establishment, operated by the Society since 1984, offers a delightful selection of real ales, craft ciders, wines, spirits, and snacks in an olde-worlde atmosphere. For transport enthusiasts, our Transport Museum housed in the Old Midland Railway Station of 1894 is a must-visit.
It showcases a range of exhibits related to the area's transportation history. Group visits and school trips can be organized with the assistance of our knowledgeable volunteer staff. Don't miss the opportunity to indulge in delectable treats at our Gresley Buffet Carriage, which serves a variety of hot and cold food on event days.
The Buffet Carriage is also available for private functions and parties. Be sure to browse our Buffer Stop Shop, located on the platform next to the railway office, where you'll find a selection of unique items and memorabilia. Join us at Rushden Station and Goods Shed and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of transportation history
