About Ribbon Community
Ribbon Community, formerly known as AIDS Vancouver, has been a pillar in Canada's community health sector since its founding in 1983. In March 2024, we rebranded to better reflect our mission of supporting and empowering communities impacted by HIV and stigma. Our programs and services cater to diverse needs, offering peer navigation, case management, supplementary grocery assistance, financial aid, and programs like Friends of May and the Indigenous Committee.
We are committed to honoring the past, present, and future of the HIV response, symbolized by our red ribbon logo. Located on the traditional territories of Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Indigenous Peoples, we strive to promote Indigenous leadership within the HIV movement. Join Ribbon Community in our journey towards a more inclusive and supportive future.
