The Richard Harris International Film Festival is a prestigious Irish film festival that pays tribute to the life and legacy of the renowned actor Richard Harris. As an officially licensed event by the Harris Estate and affiliated with the Irish Film and Television Awards (I. F.
T. A. ), this festival aims to honor not only Richard Harris but also emerging filmmakers who are following in his footsteps.
#RHIFF offers a unique platform for Irish and international filmmakers to come together, collaborate, and showcase their work. The festival takes place annually over the October Bank Holiday Weekend and features a diverse range of films and events. Beyond the festival, they also organize retrospective screenings throughout the year in Limerick City & County, Cannes, and the Newport Beach Film Festival.
In addition to showcasing exceptional films, the Richard Harris International Film Festival is committed to supporting aspiring filmmakers, students, and crew. They award the RHIFF Excellence in Filmmaking Award to the winning student film from L. I.
T. 's Creative Broadcast & Film Production Course each April. Led by a passionate and skilled team, including Rob Gill (Chairman of the Board of Directors), Sylvia Moore (Creative Team), and Zeb Moore (Festival Organizer, Production Manager), the festival strives to bring the best of Irish and international cinema to audiences and industry professionals alike.
