Richmond Marathon

Allianz Partners Richmond Marathon, organized by Sports Backers, is a premier running event series dedicated to promoting an active lifestyle in the Richmond region. This nationally-recognized nonprofit aims to inspire individuals through a variety of races, including the full marathon, half marathon, and 8K, alongside virtual race options for broader participation. The organization supports community wellness by advocating for safe biking and walking spaces, and by fostering youth involvement in running through programs like Kids On The Move.

In addition to hosting races, the Sports Backers provide essential resources for youth, ensuring that all aspiring athletes have access to running shoes, transportation for club events, and scholarship opportunities. Each year, thousands of volunteers bring these events to life, creating a vibrant environment that encourages everyone to participate in physical activities. By supporting the Sports Backers, you contribute to a future where healthy habits are instilled in our youth, thereby enhancing the community's overall vitality and attractiveness.
