Rich Music School is a renowned music institution that offers a wide range of engaging and student-centered music lessons and services. With a focus on making learning music enjoyable, they provide piano lessons, guitar lessons, drum lessons, and group music classes. Additionally, they offer DJ instruction, music summer camps, music track-out camps, and parties for kids.
The school was founded in January 2019 by local musician and Cary native Brandon Rich. Initially operated out of a preschool at Cary Park, the school quickly grew in popularity. In spring 2019, they had 30 students attending weekly lessons and regularly performing gigs at local venues.
After relocating to Crosspointe Church/NW Cary YMCA in the summer of 2019, Rich Music School continued to thrive. They celebrated their one-year anniversary in January 2020, with over 60 young musicians who love performing. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the school transitioned to online lessons in March 2020, focusing on music videos as a medium for showcasing student talent.
However, in June 2021, they resumed offering in-home lessons and monthly live performances, much to the delight of their students. In addition to their individual lessons, the school expanded its offerings in 2022 to include piano, guitar, and voice group classes and summer camps at various community centers. By 2023, they were teaching over 150 students each week across Cary and Morrisville, building new connections and expanding student performances to exciting new venues.
