Richwoods JFL

Richwoods JFL is a volunteer-run youth sports organization serving athletes ages 5–14 in the Peoria, Illinois area. Established in 1967, it was one of the original five areas that helped launch the Junior Football League of Central Illinois. The organization’s longstanding tradition focuses on helping young athletes grow both on and off the field, guided by integrity, community spirit, and a commitment to excellence.

Richwoods JFL offers tackle football, flag football, and cheer programs. Its offerings include age-based tackle football teams, co-ed fall flag football for children ages 5–7, girls’ flag football, and spring flag football, along with cheer. The site provides program and team information, schedules, registration, and resources for coaches, including an evaluation form. Richwoods JFL serves an average of about 300 athletes each year. It also reports donating approximately $30,000 locally to support breast cancer awareness. Based at Richwoods High School, the organization connects families with youth sports opportunities and a community-centered program built around participation and development.
