Ricordando Ludovica

Ricordando Ludovica ODV is a nonprofit association founded in Palermo on 18 December 2013 by Rosa and Pippo Gammino, following the loss of their daughter to cancer. The association aims to provide practical support to families facing childhood cancer, assist children with oncological illnesses and their relatives, and improve their quality of life.

Its central initiative is Casa Ludovica, a residence for families who travel from outside Palermo so their children can receive treatment at the Pediatric Oncology Department of Palermo’s Children’s Hospital. Accommodation is provided free of charge to children in care and their parents, helping families stay together during treatment.

Ricordando Ludovica also organizes fundraising activities and events to support its work, shares information about its projects, and welcomes contributions, including donations through Italy’s 5×1000 tax designation. Based in Villabate, with an operational site in Palermo, the association turns remembrance into concrete help for families navigating a difficult period. Its work is grounded in compassion and solidarity, offering families meaningful support when they need it most.
