Gebroeders Ridder Natuursteen is a family-run memorial business based in Bovensmilde and Lutten, serving customers in and around Assen, Drenthe, Groningen and Friesland. André and Wilfred Ridder have created personal grave and urn monuments since 2002, working closely with families to reflect each loved one’s life and story. Their process begins with a conversation and initial sketches, followed by a realistic 3D design that clients can review before materials and inscriptions are finalized.
The company works with natural stone, stainless steel, bronze and glass, including combinations suited to each design. Its products include single, double and children’s gravestones, standing monuments, urn monuments, urns, memorial and cremation jewelry, grave accessories, and temporary monuments. Services also include lettering for urn plaques, monument maintenance and restoration, and memorials for pets.
The team remains involved from design through production and installation, and invites families to attend the respectful placement of their monument. Gebroeders Ridder is a member of De Eden Groep, a cooperative of specialist stoneworkers and suppliers
