Ridgefield Cat Project

Ridgefield Cat Project is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization based in Ridgefield, Connecticut, dedicated to helping homeless cats. Its mission is to end the cycle of cat breeding and homelessness, one cat at a time, beginning in the local community. The organization rescues cats who have ended up outdoors through no fault of their own, recognizing that each has an individual story and needs care and support.

Ridgefield Cat Project connects rescued cats with new homes through its adoption program and shares information about adoptable cats and successful placements. For cats suited to life outdoors, it offers working barn cats as a natural pest-control option. The organization also provides a trap-borrowing service and an adoption application, helping community members take practical steps to support cats.

Ridgefield Cat Project welcomes donations and volunteers to help make an impact. As a Section 501(c)(3) organization, it can accept tax-deductible donations. Its work is rooted in a compassionate, one-cat-at-a-time approach to improving the lives of cats in and around Ridgefield.
