About Ridwell
Ridwell is a recycling and reuse service that helps people keep everyday items out of landfills when curbside programs cannot accept them. The company finds and vets trusted partners to process collected materials, and shares information about where items go and what they become. Its community has grown from a father-and-son project to more than 150,000 members, known as Ridwellers.
Ridwell offers two convenient ways to recycle more. Its door-to-door pickup service runs every two weeks in a growing network of U.S. cities, with plans starting at $20 per month. The nationwide mail-in service accepts hard-to-recycle plastics and other materials, starting at $10 per bag. Depending on the service and availability, accepted items include plastic bags and film, snack packaging and other multilayer plastics, wine corks, clothing and shoes, recyclable threads, batteries, and lightbulbs. Customers can check what is available in their neighborhood by entering an address.
Ridwell aims to make recycling simpler and more transparent, helping households reuse and recycle a broader range of materials through established partners.
