Riff Raff Grappling Club

Riff Raff Grappling Club is a welcoming Jiu Jitsu and grappling gym located on Bay Street in Tweed Heads, New South Wales. Run by husband-and-wife team Jimmy and Shoallea, the club takes a constraints-led approach to Jiu Jitsu and puts community, progression and a relaxed atmosphere ahead of traditional gym culture. Its inclusive philosophy is summed up by the motto “where the misfits roll”: members are encouraged to train without ego or concern about affiliations, while maintaining good hygiene and respect for others.

The schedule offers classes for adults and children, including no-gi grappling, gi Jiu Jitsu, wrestling for Jiu Jitsu, leg-lock training, and sessions for MMA or competition preparation. Open mats welcome members of other gyms. Training options include unlimited adult classes for $55 per week, casual sessions for $30, a 10-class pass for $270, open mat access for $25, and private instruction for $100 per hour for up to two people. The space includes shower facilities and is accessed via Navigation Lane.
