About Right Question Institute
The Right Question Institute (RQI) is a nonprofit educational organization that aims to make democracy work better by teaching a strategy that allows anyone, regardless of their educational, income, or literacy level, to learn to ask better questions and participate more effectively in decisions that affect them. With a mission to build people's skills to ask better questions, advocate for themselves, and partner with service-providers, RQI offers simple and powerful methods that tap into the potential of tens of millions of people to become more effective advocates for themselves. Their innovative methods are delivered through a variety of educational and service-based organizations nationwide and beyond, including educational institutions, health care organizations, social service organizations, community-based organizations, and public agencies.
RQI's materials, trainings, web-based resources, and consulting services provide a cost-effective way for organizations to enhance their services and programs. With a vision of a vibrant democracy, RQI strives for individual citizens to confidently participate in their encounters with public agencies and services, ultimately creating examples of Microdemocracy, the cornerstone of a strong foundation for a more just society
