RRI is a global coalition consisting of over 150 organizations dedicated to advancing the forestland and resource rights of Indigenous Peoples, local communities, Afro-descendant Peoples, and the women within these communities. With a mission to empower and protect the rights of marginalized groups, RRI works tirelessly to ensure secure land tenure, promote gender justice, address climate and conservation issues, engage the private sector, and improve livelihoods. Their work spans across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, focusing on four key thematic areas: tenure tracking, gender justice, rights, climate, and conservation, and private sector engagement.

Through extensive research, analysis, and country-level engagement, RRI tracks and advances community land rights globally. RRI also values collaboration and innovation, convening unlikely allies to drive progress and incubating new initiatives and institutions. They have created funding mechanisms and a strategic response mechanism to efficiently allocate resources, ensuring they reach communities in need.
