About rinascimentojournal.com
Rinascimento is an annual scholarly journal of the Istituto Nazionale di Studi sul Rinascimento in Florence, published by Leo S. Olschki. First issued as La Rinascita from 1938 to 1949, it adopted its current title in 1950. The journal promotes research into humanistic and Renaissance culture in a broad, multidisciplinary sense. Its work is guided by a scientific committee, and the publication is classified as “A” by ANVUR. Articles are accepted following double-blind peer review.
Rinascimento organizes its content into five sections. “Saggi e testimonianze” features substantial studies of individual authors and significant themes, while “Studi e testi” presents previously unpublished or rare sources relevant to humanist and Renaissance traditions. “Note e varietà” offers critical contributions on specific subjects with a broader perspective. “Rassegne” surveys current critical and historical research on major figures, and “Discussioni” addresses original perspectives and active debates in Renaissance studies. The journal also provides abstracts for selected annual volumes and information about its editorial board, submissions, and previous issues.
