Rinfresca Società Benefit

Rinfresca Società Benefit is an Italian care organisation and social-purpose startup focused on respite care for families living with disability or under stress. Its approach is designed to support the well-being of the whole family, combining caregiver regeneration with opportunities for dependants to build skills alongside specialised operators. Rather than treating respite as a short break for one person alone, Rinfresca presents it as a balanced pathway that recognises the needs of both caregivers and those they support.

The organisation was founded by parents of a young girl with Down syndrome, drawing on their own experience of family crises, burnout and the search for meaningful regeneration. Rinfresca aims to ensure that finding support is not a private burden families must carry alone. Each journey begins with a conversation, allowing the organisation to engage with a family’s needs. Based in Milan, Rinfresca serves families in Italy and beyond, offering respite care, capacity-building and self-advocacy programmes intended to strengthen well-being and skills across the family.
