Ringerikes Sportsfiskere

Ringerikes Sportsfiskere is a volunteer angling association based in Hønefoss, Norway, established in 1934. The organization promotes sports fishing traditions and works to conserve the distinctive trout population of the Randselva River, helping protect it for future generations. The river is known for its large trout, and the association supports responsible fishing through published rules and guidance for anglers.

Visitors can purchase day, weekly, and seasonal fishing permits. Members receive discounted permits and access to the association’s preferred fishing spots, as well as opportunities to join group fishing trips, courses, talks, and regular member gatherings. The association also makes a boat on Lake Øyangen available to members at no charge, with bookings arranged through its website.

Ringerikes Sportsfiskere shares updates about fishing conditions, events, and conservation, including temporary closures when high water temperatures could threaten fish stocks. By joining or following its fishing guidelines, anglers can enjoy the area while contributing to sustainable fishing and the preservation of Randselva’s trout heritage.
