About RINVOQ
RINVOQ® is a prescription medicine brand offering upadacitinib, a once-daily Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor developed by AbbVie. It works inside cells to block certain signals thought to cause inflammation. Depending on the condition and patient, RINVOQ is prescribed for moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis, atopic dermatitis (eczema), ulcerative colitis, or Crohn’s disease, and for active psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis, and giant cell arteritis.
It is also used for children with active polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis or juvenile psoriatic arthritis; a liquid formulation, RINVOQ LQ, is available for certain pediatric uses. Many approved uses apply when previous treatments, including TNF blockers, have not worked well or could not be tolerated. The brand’s website provides condition information, prescribing and patient safety resources, and updates.
RINVOQ Complete offers eligible commercially insured patients savings-card assistance and support with insurance navigation and treatment. RINVOQ can cause serious side effects, including infections, so patients should review the safety information and discuss treatment with a healthcare provider
