Rio Strada Racing

Rio Strada Racing is a Sacramento, California, cycling team and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 1982. One of the state’s oldest bicycle racing teams, it promotes competitive cycling, develops riders at all levels, supports junior athletes, and contributes to local communities. Its roster includes men and women competing from Cat 5 through Pro 1/2, offering a place for riders across a range of experience and ability.

Team members race in road, criterium, cyclocross, gravel, mountain bike, and time trial events in Sacramento and throughout Northern California. Rio Strada also sponsors and promotes the Golden State Race Series, a major USA Cycling-sanctioned race held each May. Beyond competition, the organization emphasizes rider development, community involvement, and charitable initiatives to help strengthen the sport for future generations.
