The Rhode Island Regional Prevention Coalitions bring community members and partners together to promote healthier lifestyles and prevent substance use and mental health challenges. Working across regions including Blackstone Valley, Kent County, East Bay, Newport County, Providence, South County, and Southern Providence County, the coalitions connect residents with local resources and prevention initiatives. Their members include youth, parents, educators, health care providers, elected officials, faith leaders, businesses, law enforcement, and treatment providers.

The organization offers evidence-based prevention programs, campaigns, and educational resources for young children, adolescents, parents, and the wider community. Topics include alcohol, marijuana, vaping, prescription and other drugs, mental health, and internet safety. Programs such as The Incredible Years support upstream prevention, while resources help families make informed choices. The coalitions also promote safe medication disposal, including information about nearby disposal sites and free lock bags.

Their vision is a healthier community supported by a prevention system that addresses service gaps, directs resources where needed, and encourages healthy choices.
