RISE Comedy

RISE Comedy is a Denver comedy club and training center offering live entertainment, classes, and events for audiences, performers, and businesses. Formerly known as the Voodoo Comedy Playhouse, it presents original improv, sketch, and stand-up shows, along with open mics and online performances. Its calendar features Hit and Run: Musical Improv®, a long-running Denver show, as well as festivals and other comedy events. The venue also has a bar serving draft beer, spirits, and local cocktails, with no drink minimums.

Through the RISE Comedy Training Center, students can take improv, stand-up, sketch, acting, musical improv, and clown classes, plus workshops and intensives. Options include drop-in and online classes for a range of experience levels. RISE Comedy also provides customized corporate workshops, team-building sessions, private events, and rentals, both in person and virtually. Its corporate training work uses improv activities to support connection and collaboration, and the organization has worked with companies including Apple, Adobe, Comcast, and Vail Resorts. RISE Comedy serves as a hub for Denver’s comedy and improv community.
