About RiseUp Malawi
RiseUp Malawi is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing relief from extreme poverty and hunger in rural Malawi. Our mission is to empower children and their families to lift themselves out of poverty through educational initiatives. We believe that education is the key to poverty alleviation, and we are committed to keeping young Malawians in school.
Through our programs, we offer a range of services to support the community. Our offerings include a free after-school program that provides computer, English language, math, and life skills training to youth. We also offer secondary school scholarships that cover school fees, uniforms, transport, and supplies for students in need. Additionally, we provide a safe space for students to express themselves through music, dance, and poetry, addressing important social issues like HIV/AIDS and child marriages.
