River AI

River AI provides an integrated platform for developing, training, and deploying frontier language models and AI agents. Its system connects model training, inference, and reinforcement learning through one API, enabling teams to fine-tune open models on expert examples and improve agent performance using task outcomes, tools, and reward signals. River supports distributed training, sampling, checkpoint management, and production deployment, with Python workflows and an OpenAI-compatible inference API.

Customers can use River Cloud, where the company manages the infrastructure, or deploy River Cluster on their own GPU environment. The on-premises option is designed to keep data and model weights within the customer’s environment while providing the same product, workflows, and Console. River also offers hosted inference for leading open models and dedicated serving for trained checkpoints. Its services include model optimization, performance tuning, and testing for correctness and reliability at scale. The River Console helps teams monitor training runs, checkpoints, and deployments.
