River City Company is the driving force behind the economic development of Downtown Chattanooga. As a private non-profit organization established in 1986, our mission is to create a world-class downtown for all. We work tirelessly to foster a vibrant and thriving downtown that serves as the economic, social, and cultural center of Chattanooga.

By partnering with local government, the private sector, and the philanthropic sector, we support and develop specific projects that contribute to the revitalization and redevelopment of downtown. Our track record speaks for itself. From the development of the Tennessee Riverwalk to iconic projects like the Tennessee Aquarium, Kirkman High School site, and Miller Park, we have been at the forefront of successful public purpose development.

We also play a major role in future planning, animation, and programming of downtown spaces. With a dedicated board of directors and a robust annual budget, we are committed to keeping Downtown Chattanooga working and thriving. Join us in shaping the present and future of our vibrant community
