Riverdale Martial Arts

Riverdale Martial Arts is a Toronto martial arts school serving the Riverdale and Danforth community. It offers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training for children, teens and adults, with classes designed for beginners as well as experienced practitioners. Its programs include curriculum-based children’s BJJ, adult BJJ, No-Gi grappling, kickboxing and dedicated women’s-only BJJ sessions. The school emphasizes technical instruction, practical self-defence, fitness, confidence and discipline in a focused, welcoming environment.

Head coach Bobby Currie is a second-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, a Judo black belt and a two-time Canadian Judo champion. Riverdale Martial Arts describes its approach as the RMA Method, combining clear coaching with training that supports students as they progress at their own pace. The school also welcomes newcomers through beginner-friendly classes and offers a free seven-day trial for prospective students. Its children’s programs aim to develop skills and character, while adult and women’s training provides opportunities to build strength and practical capability. Classes follow IBJJF rules and guidelines, and instructors are certified by the Ontario Jiu-Jitsu Association.
