RiverRecycle is a brand that offers a sustainable solution to combat ocean plastic pollution. Established in Helsinki, Finland, in 2019 by Anssi Mikola, RiverRecycle has grown to be active in nine countries, with a team of over fifteen professionals and a wide network of partnerships and collaborations. Our primary focus is installing waste management systems on the shores of highly polluted rivers, where we collect and recycle plastic waste and floating debris.

By doing so, we empower local municipalities to effectively manage plastic waste, create safe and fair work opportunities for communities, and boost the economy by involving companies that purchase the end products of our river cleaning and recycling system. With three ongoing projects and more in the pipeline, our goal is to install 500 river cleaning solutions over the next five years, preventing 60% of river-born plastic waste from entering the oceans. You can find our headquarters in Helsinki, and we have representatives in various locations including the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Africa, and the UAE.
