Riverside Theatres is a prominent arts venue located in Sydney's thriving Western suburbs. Recognizing its importance, the City of Parramatta Council has approved a detailed business case to transform Riverside Theatres into an iconic and world-class cultural venue.

The ambitious redevelopment project, with an investment of over $136 million, will double the theater's capacity and feature various performance spaces, including a 1350-1400 seat Lyric Theatre, refurbished Riverside Playhouse Theatre, an all-new Black Box theater, a digital development studio/cinema, as well as enhanced public spaces and foyers. The Riverside Theatres Redevelopment aims to benefit the local community, residents of Western Sydney, and visitors from across Australia and the world. Through its transformation into a vibrant cultural destination, it will contribute to Parramatta's aspiration to become a great global city
