About River Valley Gateway
River Valley Gateway is a compassionate and personal brand that offers in-home hospice, palliative care, and in-home euthanasia services for pets. Founded by Dr. Denice Norton, a veterinarian with 15 years of experience, the brand aims to provide a gentle and peaceful journey for senior pets in their end-of-life stages.
In 2014, Dr. Norton joined the International Association of Animal Hospice and Palliative Care (IAAHPC) to offer mobile veterinary services. This allowed families in Western Colorado to have access to in-home pet euthanasia services.
The community embraced this service, grateful for the option it provided. In 2019, River Valley Gateway expanded its services by opening a comfort center associated with the first accredited pet crematory in Colorado. This center gives clients the opportunity to schedule euthanasia away from their homes while still having a comforting environment.
The brand also operates an International Association of Pet Cemeteries and Crematories (IAOPCC) accredited pet crematorium that is open to the public. They treat pets entrusted to their care with respect and honor the family's wishes for aftercare arrangements. River Valley Gateway understands the emotional attachment to pets and strives to provide a compassionate and dignified end-of-life experience
