River Valley House Call Vet is a mobile veterinary practice serving Hadley, Massachusetts, and communities across the Pioneer River Valley. Led by Dr. Allen, who has many years of experience caring for local pets, the practice brings veterinary care to clients’ homes, helping animals receive attention in familiar surroundings. Its approach emphasizes a gentle touch, compassionate service, and a “less is best” philosophy focused on comfort and well-being.

House calls are available for puppies and kittens, newly adopted pets, healthy adults, and animals that are sick, injured, elderly, or nearing the end of life. Dr. Allen provides examinations, guidance on health and daily care, and support for improving pets’ quality of life. Urgent needs can often be accommodated the same day. The practice also offers peaceful end-of-life care at home and coordinates aftercare through White Rose. When patients need surgery, dentistry, or critical care beyond the scope of a house call, Dr. Allen refers them to appropriate local or regional veterinary hospitals and stays in contact with owners and doctors.
