Pâtisserie Riviera 1955 is Monaco’s oldest pastry house, founded by the Ardoise family in 1955 at 27 Boulevard des Moulins in Monte-Carlo. For seven decades, it has combined traditional craftsmanship with an elegant Salon de Thé, welcoming guests from Monaco and around the world. Its creations are made from scratch on the premises under the direction of Chef Alexander Seleznev, whose approach brings together French, Italian and Slavic pastry influences.
The range includes bespoke celebration cakes, golden viennoiseries, fine confections and handcrafted chocolates. Signature creations include the Bûche de Noël and Religieuse in cassis, vanilla and chocolate. Riviera also offers gluten-free, lactose-free, sugar-free and vegan options, which make up nearly half of its assortment while maintaining the brand’s standards for flavour and refinement. With its focus on fine ingredients, technique and artistry, the maison presents pastry as part of Monaco’s art of living. Marking its 70th anniversary, Riviera 1955 is also developing a franchise expansion to bring its heritage and products to new locations worldwide.
