Rivista Europea

Europea is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal focused on Europe and the contemporary era. Published twice a year, it brings together research on European history, international relations, political science and area studies, with particular attention to the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and the challenges facing Europe in the new millennium. Its interdisciplinary scope also includes European integration, political thought, contemporary history, and the roots, identity and values of European culture.

The journal welcomes rigorous research from a range of perspectives, including work that is neither pro-European nor anti-European in outlook, provided it is grounded in scholarship rather than ideological prejudice. Its aim is to encourage open discussion and connect established academics with early-career researchers, while also making its work accessible to readers beyond the academic community. Europea follows publication ethics guidance developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and it does not charge authors publication fees. Readers can explore current and archived issues, submit proposals, and access articles, reviews and other scholarly contributions.
