RMCA

The Ruapehu Mountain Clubs Association (RMCA) brings together 48 ski and alpine clubs based around Mount Ruapehu in New Zealand’s Tongariro National Park. With a history spanning more than a century, these member clubs offer people from diverse backgrounds a welcoming way to take part in mountain life and activities throughout the year. Their clubhouses are built and maintained by members, supporting a communal experience where friendships and lasting memories can grow.

RMCA helps prospective members explore the clubs and find an option suited to their interests, whether they are families or individuals drawn to mountaineering, skiing, social gatherings or a relaxed mountain atmosphere. The association covers clubs on the Whakapapa, Turoa and Tukino sides of the mountain, each with its own character and style of hospitality.

The organisation also provides information and resources for clubs, including guidance on Tongariro National Park procedures, clubhouse grocery rooms, health and safety, food regulations and electricity.
