About RME
RME is the Swedish National Association for ME Patients, dedicated to improving the situation for individuals with the debilitating disease Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME). RME aims to ensure that ME is recognized and acknowledged, advocating for patients' rights to a proper diagnosis, adequate care, and full inclusion in the social insurance system. They actively support and stimulate research, disseminating accurate information about ME and creating a community of support for patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
RME's mission is to enhance patients' quality of life, provide qualified knowledge about ME, and update policymakers and healthcare providers on the latest research in the field. RME operates on values of safety, participation, quality, and responsibility, where each member's unique perspective and contribution are valued. Through their strong focus on research and holistic support, RME strives to improve the lives of ME patients
