About RMJ's Horse Rescue
RMJ's Horse Rescue, based in Malta, was founded in 2016 by Corinne Farrugia. The organization rescues and rehabilitates horses at risk of slaughter or neglect, providing them with a safe haven until they can be rehomed. With approximately 80 horses in their care, RMJ is dedicated to finding forever homes for these animals, both locally and abroad. Their mission includes not only caring for the horses but also raising awareness about equine welfare.
RMJ relies on public donations and fundraising events to cover the costs of caring for the horses, which average around €300 per month per horse. The organization also welcomes volunteers and offers opportunities for horse sponsorship, fostering, and adoption. Their facility, located near the Madonna Tal-Providenza Chapel in Siggiewi, Malta, serves as a sanctuary thanks to the hard work of dedicated volunteers and generous supporters. Visit RMJ's Horse Rescue to learn more about how you can support their vital mission.
