River Ocean Cleanup | Phnom Penh is an organization dedicated to tackling plastic pollution in Cambodia's rivers and oceans. Their mission is to clean up legacy plastic waste and close the taps on plastic pollution through collaborative efforts with the Royal Government of Cambodia, local authorities, donors, private sector, NGOs, educational institutions, and target communities. With approximately 3. 65 million tons of waste generated annually, including 48% of non-collected household waste that ends up on the streets, rivers, and oceans, there are negative impacts on health, water quality, marine life, wildlife, and the tourism industry. River Ocean Cleanup's approach is to mobilize millions of Cambodians to join cleanup efforts and introduce comprehensive prevention programs.

They organize nationwide events such as World Cleanup Day, River Cleanup, and Ocean Cleanup, with the goal of converting 1 million plastic cups collected to 1 million trees. By promoting social behavior change, enhancing infrastructure, raising awareness, and supporting relevant laws, River Ocean Cleanup aims to create a clean and beautiful Cambodia, free from plastic pollution.
