Roanoke Sportfishing

Roanoke Sportfishing offers fishing charters from Wanchese, North Carolina, for visitors seeking an Outer Banks adventure. Owner-operator Captain Elliott Ambrose has been a captain since 2010, building on years of fishing the Roanoke River and working inshore, nearshore, and offshore from Oregon Inlet. Alongside mate Wyatt, he welcomes both experienced anglers and newcomers, providing bait, top-of-the-line tackle, and fishing licenses for trips aboard the Roanoke.

The 50-foot Carolina Sportfisher features a spacious cockpit, a large center fighting chair, two additional fighting chairs, and comfortable salon seating. Onboard amenities include Bluetooth audio, heat and air conditioning, a private restroom, a bunk, and a microwave. Guests can pursue tuna, mahi, wahoo, marlin, sailfish, and other species. In addition to offshore charters, Roanoke Sportfishing offers Cobia and other nearshore trips, including half-day, extended half-day, and tower trips. Offshore charter rates are $2,550 by cash or check, with additional fees for credit card payment; a deposit is required to secure a trip.
