About ROBINSON
ROBINSON is a brand that aims to revolutionize energy supply on industrialized islands through innovative and sustainable solutions. Their project focuses on developing an intelligent, flexible, and modular Energy Management System (EMS) that integrates renewable energy sources, biomass and wastewater valorization, industrial symbiosis, and the optimization of cutting-edge technologies. By combining different energy vectors such as electricity, heat, and gas, ROBINSON's EMS ensures efficient energy production and storage.
They utilize a range of technologies, including a small gas turbine-based Combined Heat and Power unit, an Anaerobic Digester assisted by Bio-Electrochemical Systems for waste-to-energy conversion, a mobile wind turbine, a gasifier for bio-waste conversion, and hydrogen-related technologies. The system will be demonstrated on the island of Eigerøy, with replication studies planned for Crete and the Western Isles. By reducing CO2 emissions and improving air quality, ROBINSON is committed to supporting the decarbonization of islands and remote areas in Europe and beyond.
