In the digital era of today, technology has a significant influence on every aspect of our daily lives where basic technological proficiency has become a necessity. Demand for programmers, engineers, and developers has grown exponentially. Robotics and programming skills give students an edge in an increasingly competitive job market. However, robotics equipment and training can be extremely expensive. Hence, some students do not have the opportunity to explore this field. Robotics Unbound aims to level the playing field by providing students hands-on experience with robotics and programming without the associated costs. We accomplish this by collaborating with various Singapore community service organizations such as Mendaki, to bring approachable and free introductory Robotics & Programming workshops to students who otherwise would not be exposed to such fields.

About Robotics Unbound
Robotics Unbound is a student-led initiative that aims to introduce young students to the exciting world of robotics and programming. Their mission is to provide engaging workshops that teach basic robotics and programming skills, using approachable tools such as LEGO WeDo2. 0 and Scratch.
The team is comprised of high school and university students who are passionate about science, robotics, and programming. Recognizing the impact of socioeconomic inequalities on STEM education, Robotics Unbound focuses on reaching children from less privileged backgrounds, giving them the opportunity to develop fundamental skills that can enhance their technological proficiency and improve their job prospects. Since its establishment in 2016, Robotics Unbound has expanded its operations and collaborated with community service organizations across Singapore, including Yayasan Mendaki, Touch Young Arrows, and The Salvation Army.
Their dedicated volunteers have successfully reached students from all over Singapore, offering them the chance to discover and pursue their passion for robotics and programming
