Robowars

Robowars Australia is the home of robot combat in Australia, bringing builders and audiences together around competitive, engineered machines. Established in 2001, the community has endured setbacks, including the destruction of its Queensland arenas in the 2011 floods, and rebuilt through the efforts of local competitors and makers. Today, it supports events, national championships and opportunities for people across the country to take part.

Robowars Australia offers practical resources for aspiring competitors, including robot construction guidelines and information on getting started. Builders can connect with organisers and the wider community, ask questions, and prepare their machines for upcoming competitions. The organisation also shares event news, competition updates and information about its activities.

Its events include featherweight and Sportsman tournaments, as well as appearances at public programs such as World Science Festival Queensland, where robot combat is paired with hands-on science. The Australian Robowars Nationals are scheduled to return to ARM Hub in Northgate, Queensland, on 28–29 November 2026.
