Rock Bottom Publishing is a family-owned company founded in 2020 with the aim of assisting new projects in their early stages. Collaborating with esteemed publishers Wakefield Press in Adelaide, Australia, and SayZanSha Publications in Tokyo, Japan, the company strives to build from the ground up, drawing inspiration from J. K.
Rowling's powerful statement about finding strength in rock bottom. The driving force behind Rock Bottom Publishing is Yuko Matsuoka Harris, a renowned Japanese businesswoman and President of SayZanSha Holdings, who introduced the Harry Potter series to Japan 22 years ago. Yuko, along with her husband Bob Harris, an accomplished leader in civil society and co-founder of Education International, has dedicated their efforts to promoting opportunity and quality education worldwide.
Their shared vision encompasses the Swiss Magic Libraries Foundation, aimed at fostering reading among disadvantaged children in Asia and Australasia, and the Matsuoka Book Heritage Foundation in Japan.
