About Rockelox
Rockelox is a European space technology company focused on advancing launch autonomy through locally operated, fully reusable orbital vehicles. The company aims to address long launch lead times, high costs, and reliance on launch services located outside geographical Europe. Its flagship vehicle, Genesis, is a planned reusable heavy-lift rocket designed to carry more than 25 tons to low Earth orbit, with a cargo volume of 250 cubic metres.
Rockelox says Genesis will be fully and rapidly reusable, cost £40 million per launch, and make its debut in 2034. The company projects launch costs more than 60% lower and lead times 150 times shorter than current European options. Its wider concepts include hypersonic logistics, described as transporting 40 tons anywhere in under 40 minutes, and “Flue to Fuel,” a process intended to turn waste into propellant.
Together, these initiatives reflect Rockelox’s ambition to provide scalable launch and logistics capabilities from Europe and strengthen the region’s access to space
