Rocket City Roller Derby (RCRD) is a nonprofit recreational roller derby league based in Huntsville, Alabama. Founded in 2004, the league brings athletes of all skill levels together to promote teamwork, fitness, and empowerment through the fast-paced sport of full-contact roller derby. As a member of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), RCRD supports the growth of flat track roller derby locally and as part of a wider international community.

RCRD offers competitive, safety-focused action on the track and welcomes skaters, officials, and fans into a supportive, inclusive community. Its bouts showcase a sport in which jammers score by lapping opposing players while blockers work to advance their team and prevent opponents from scoring. Fans can attend events and purchase tickets, while supporters can contribute through donations, merchandise, and community fundraisers organized with local businesses. Fundraising helps cover league needs such as safety gear, venue rentals, and insurance. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, Rocket City Roller Derby combines athletic competition with community engagement in the Rocket City.
